Ingredients

  • Dried dandelion dandelion root - 4 ½ tsp
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Butter or cream - 1 to 2 tbsp (optional)
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 (optional)
  • Dried ginger - ½ tsp (optional)
  • Fresh minced ginger - 1 tsp (optional)
  • Vanilla extract to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a medium-sized pot and place it over medium heat.
  2. Take a few dried dandelion roots and place them in the pot.
  3. Toast the dandelion root until you get its fragrance from it, and it turns golden brown.
  4. Now, add some water and other ingredients to it. Leave it for some time to boil.
  5. Once it boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
  6. Strain it using a strainer and serve.
  7. You blend some maple syrup if you want.
  8. Add a tablespoon of cream or butter and 2 to 3 drops of vanilla extract to taste.
